Scholarly Communication of Research
In addition to conducting research responsibly, Berkeley Lab scientists are asked to comply with the DOE’s open access policy, which requires that each researcher:
1) Claims their work;
2) Uploads an open-access version of their work for public consumption; and
3) Specifies which DOE Office(s) funded their work.
To facilitate this process, researchers can use the Lab’s Publications Management Tool. Publishing peer-reviewed papers is an important part of the Lab’s responsibility to share its work among the scientific community. The Lab also has a responsibility to communicate about its work with the broader public.
